Terms of Service

1. Service Description

PowerTap, operated by GYMLIFEAI LLC, doing business as West Texas AI / PowerTap (“we”, “us”, “our”), provides self-service electrical power activation and automated utility billing for RV parks, marinas, and temporary power infrastructure. By using our service, you agree to these terms.

2. Two-Step Billing

PowerTap uses a two-step billing model:

  • Step 1 -- Site Reservation: You pay a flat fee to reserve your RV site for the selected duration (daily, weekly, or monthly). This charge is processed immediately.
  • Step 2 -- Utility Checkout: At the end of your session, any additional utility charges set by the park operator are billed to your saved payment method plus applicable service fees.

3. Payment Authorization

By activating a site through PowerTap, you authorize us to:

  • Securely store your payment method via Stripe for the duration of your session
  • Charge your payment method for the initial site reservation fee
  • Automatically charge your saved payment method at checkout for any additional utility charges and applicable service fees without requiring additional approval

All payments are processed through Stripe. We do not store your full credit card details.

4. Pricing and Fees

Site reservation rates are set by individual park operators and displayed before payment. Utility rates are set by individual park operators and disclosed during activation. A service and processing fee is added to each transaction to cover payment processing and platform costs.

5. SMS/Text Messaging Terms

PowerTap offers an SMS notification program for session updates. By providing your phone number during site activation and checking the SMS consent box, you expressly consent to receive transactional text messages from PowerTap at the phone number provided. Messages are sent from (940) 341-2601.

Types of Messages

  • Session activation confirmations with site number and rate
  • Session end notifications with charge summaries
  • System status updates (power changes, park announcements)
  • Responses to your SMS commands (ON, OFF, STATUS)

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your session activity. You will typically receive 2-4 messages per active session (activation, status updates, session end). Park operators may receive additional messages in response to their commands.

Costs

Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your text plan or data plan.

Opt-Out

You can cancel SMS messages at any time. Just text “STOP” to (940) 341-2601. After you send STOP, we will send you a confirmation message that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from PowerTap. If you want to rejoin, start a new session and provide your phone number again with consent.

Carrier Liability

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. PowerTap is not responsible for any delays, failures in delivery, or any other issues related to the transmission or receipt of text messages.

Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

6. Session Rules

  • Sessions automatically expire at the end of the reserved duration
  • Park operators may terminate sessions early for safety or policy violations
  • Power may be remotely controlled by park management
  • You are responsible for all charges during your active session

7. Refunds

Refund policies are determined by individual park operators. For refund requests, contact the park office directly. Utility charges are non-refundable.

8. Limitation of Liability

PowerTap provides the payment and activation platform. We are not responsible for power quality, outages, equipment malfunction at the RV park, or disputes between guests and park operators. Our liability is limited to the amount of fees paid to PowerTap for the affected transaction.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of PowerTap after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
